Swimming Pool Water Slides !!!!

If you've owned a swimming pool for several seasons, you may be in need of an upgrade. You can invest in additional pool add-ons like waterfalls, a spa or even new lights, or you can choose something the whole family will enjoy. Pool water slides can easily be installed after construction on your pool is completed, or if it’s been around for a while.
Swimming pool water slides may not be for everyone (and are typically reserved for in ground pools), but in general they can quickly be installed if there’s enough patio space, and the water is deep enough to accommodate a swimmer. Once they’re in place, it can be similar to a small water park right in your backyard!
Waterslides are a fun, exciting accessory to add to your swimming pool.
Water slides come in several different shapes, sizes and colors, but there are a few things to take into account before you purchase. First, determine what age group will be using the slide most often. If you have young children, a lower pool slide that’s straighter may be less intimidating than something high with twists and turns.
Once the height is determined, you’ll need to calculate how much space you can dedicate to the slide on your deck. Usually the installation guide is listed on line for the slide you choose, so read it before hitting the checkout button, just to be sure that you have the necessary space. You may also want to place the slide in an area that’s near a ladder or an exit, so swimmers can easily get out and use the slide all over again.
Most pool water slides are equipped with water delivery systems to help with water flow. Instead of attaching a garden hose and wasting water, use the water from your pool to run over the slide while in use. A contractor can quickly install a separate plumbing line from your filter system to the new slide location.
Swimming pool water slides can be an enjoyable pool add-on, but make sure to observe the correct safety precautions. Before letting swimmers loose on the slide, explain the proper form and make sure an adult is nearby for supervision. If you’re handy, you can install the slide quickly and safely, but if you don’t want to take any chances of a bad installation, call your nearest professional for installation assistance.

Always make sure the water is deep enough to accommodate a swimmer leaving the slide. Depth will vary from model to model, so read the manufacturer’s guidelines first. And pool water slides should only be installed with the correct type of pool. Don’t install a water slide for an in ground pool in an above ground pool, to avoid an unwanted accident.
Only one person at a time should be allowed to use the slide, and always seated and feet first. Sliding head first is dangerous and can result in an injury. Younger, inexperienced swimmers may need to be instructed to hold their nose and close their mouths, since water to the face can be disorienting.
